Alessandro Scarabello's artistic research is greatly distinguished by his attention to technique and close observation of social phenomena. He works with oil and acrylic on canvas and produces single paintings and collections. The combination of his technical knowledge and his contemporary eye has captured the attention of his observers since the beginning of his career. From Caravaggio to Michetti, Pellizza da Volpedo to Francis Bacon and Lucian Freud, the influences of artists unlikely to be combined come out in his work. His canvases speak of the present, yet offer an original vision suspended between both the past and the future.

Alessandro Scarabello ha seguito un percorso artistico contraddistinto da una parte da un'attenzione tecnica, dall'altra dalla osservazione di fenomeni sociali reinterpretati e declinati sotto forma di cicli pittorici o singole opere. La commistione tra sapienza tecnica e contemporaneità dello sguardo ha sin dall'inizio catturato l'attenzione degli osservatori, posti di fronte a tele da cui emergono evidenti le influenze di pittori (da Caravaggio a Michetti, da Pellizza da Volpedo a Francis Bacon e Lucian Freud) che mai ci si aspetterebbe di trovare combinate in opere che, pur parlandoci del nostro presente, offrono una visione originale e sospesa tra passato e futuro.
